Join us as an Author

Author’s Duty

Create new Continuing Education courses for SPEC. Alternatively, publish an article for the Specialty Pharma Journal (SPJ).

Key Roles and Responsibilities

While creating Continuing Education content for SPEC:

  • Create a set of objectives for the course
  • Submit an original (i.e. not previously published) draft
  • After expert draft review, implement changes and audio recordings in a timely manner
  • Create a designated amount of Post-Assessment questions

While authoring content for the Specialty Pharma Journal:

  • Submit an original (i.e., not previously published) article
  • Work with Managing Editor and other staff to revise and finalize article for publication.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Doctorate or professional degree preferred.
  • Organize and present information per author guidelines
  • Re-purpose and revise article as required to finalize for publication.

To prepare and deliver a presentation in your area of expertise during a SPEC Live meeting or Online webinar.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide PowerPoint handouts in advance, to be distributed to session attendees.

Skills and Abilities Needed to Succeed as a Presenter

  • Doctorate or professional degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of the topic.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Public speaking skills helpful.
